Robert Webb, MBA, CVEP, CMP Fellow has a diverse work experience in the events and hospitality industry. Robert is currently the Managing Director of Professional Events at the American Diabetes Association. Prior to that, they worked at ASCD as the Managing Director of Conferences and Events and Senior Director of Meetings and Events. At ASCD, they were responsible for overseeing the execution of numerous conferences, meetings, events, and managed travel operations. Robert also held the position of Director of Meetings and Travel Services where they set the direction and management of meetings and travel operations for the entire organization.

In addition, Robert Webb worked as an Adjunct Faculty at Marymount University, teaching event management and operational activities of special events. Robert also gained experience as a Consultant in Conference Operations at Unique Venues, where they provided expertise in conference operations. Moreover, they served as the Director of Conference Services and Vendor Relations at Envision, where they directed contracts management and scholar services teams.

Earlier in their career, Robert Webb was the Director of Conference Center and Auxiliary Services at Bentley University, where they managed various campus areas including conference services, mail services, reproductive services, and space management. Robert achieved significant accomplishments in outsourcing the print shop operations and saving the college over $100,000/year. Additionally, they held the volunteer position of Past President at ACCED-I.

Before transitioning to the hospitality industry, Robert Webb worked as a Sales Manager and Front Office Manager at Beechwood Hotel, as well as a Sales Manager at Best Western Royal Plaza and Trade Center.

Robert Webb holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Hospitality Management from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst. Robert pursued further education at Bentley University's Elkin B. McCallum Graduate School of Business, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management. At Bentley University's McCallum Graduate School of Business, they also earned a Master's Certificate in Business Ethics. Robert has obtained various certifications, including the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation from the Events Industry Council in December 2003. Robert is also a Certified Meeting Professional Fellow (CMP Fellow), a certification granted by the Events Industry Council in 2022. Additionally, they hold a CVENT Virtual Events Certification from Cvent, achieved in January 2021.
