Chris Penso

Chris Penso has extensive experience in officiating, currently serving as a full-time referee for the Professional Referee Organization since January 2013, with over 170 regular season matches officiated in the US and Canada. Since March 2020, Chris has also held the positions of Coordinator of Officials for both the American Athletic Conference and The Sun Conference, overseeing men's and women's soccer. Prior experience includes serving as a Professional Referee for the US Soccer Federation from January 2008 to December 2012 and managing Penso’s Pizza-Dover from January 2007 to November 2009. Prior to these roles, Chris worked as a State Trooper for the Ohio State Highway Patrol from June 2005 to November 2006. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Kent State University, earned from 2000 to 2004.
