Margarett Waterbury is an experienced editor and author with a diverse background in journalism and consultancy. Currently serving as the Editor of Distiller Magazine at the American Distilling Institute since June 2022, Waterbury has also authored "Scotch: A Complete Introduction to Scotland's Whiskies" through Sterling Publishing. Freelance work since 2008 includes writing about food, drinks, and culture for various publications, alongside offering commercial copywriting and content marketing primarily for businesses related to food, drinks, and the environment. As an Associate Consultant at A to Be Partners since 2016, Waterbury aids nonprofits in growth strategies. Previous roles include Managing Editor at The Whiskey Wash and Edible Portland, as well as Senior Writer and Project Manager at MasterPlans, where Waterbury developed business plans and conducted market research. Waterbury holds a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from Reed College.
