Daniel Arneman, PhD

Daniel Arneman, PhD has worked in various roles in the software engineering, research and development, analytics and product management, environmental analysis, and research assistant fields since 2000. In 2000, they began as a Research Assistant at the University of Kentucky School of Medicine. From 2002 to 2008, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they designed and executed an interdisciplinary research project focused on astrocyte migration during scar formation after brain and spinal cord injury. Daniel also developed proficiency in public speaking and teaching, including lectures, one-on-one tutoring, and poster presentation. From 2008 to 2011, they worked as VP of Analytics and Product Manager at PlotWatt. Since 2018, they have been working as Director of Software Engineering and Director of Research & Development at American Efficient.

Daniel Arneman obtained their PhD in Cell and Molecular Physiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill between 2002 and 2007. Daniel then studied Biomimicry at the Biomimicry Institute and obtained a Biologist at the Design Table degree in 2007. Prior to that, they obtained a B.S. in Agricultural Biotechnology from the University of Kentucky between 1998 and 2002. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Build Web APIs from Scratch from Codecademy in June 2018 and Test-Driven Development from Codecademy in April 2018.
