Oleksandr Ovdiienko

Oleksandr Ovdiienko has a wide range of work experience in the energy and engineering industry. Oleksandr is currently working as a Project Manager at Fichtner. Prior to that, they served as an Advisor to the Head at the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine. Oleksandr also held the position of Vice President Former Soviet Union at the Association of Energy Engineers.

From 2019 to 2023, Ovdiienko worked as a Senior Gas Expert at the USAID Energy Security Project, where they gained expertise in the gas industry. Before that, they were the Vice President on Economics and Energy at ICC Ukraine and Head of Natural Gas Sales at Gas Supply Company "Naftogas of Ukraine".

Additionally, Ovdiienko held leadership positions at various organizations, including being the Head of the Board at the Association of Energy Engineers of Ukraine and Deputy General Manager at The Group of Companies "Sodruzhestvo". Oleksandr has also worked at UkrNaftaBurinnya and OJSC "Kremenchukgaz".

Throughout their career, Ovdiienko has been involved in strategic planning, project management, membership development, and government relations. Oleksandr has also been actively engaged in international projects and played a crucial role in energy efficiency initiatives.

Oleksandr Ovdiienko completed their full secondary school education at Lyceum #142 from 1991 to 1994, specializing in Physics and Mathematics. Oleksandr then attended the National Technical University of Ukraine 'Kyiv Polytechnic Institute' from 1994 to 2000, where they obtained a Master's degree in Energy Engineering.

In 2005, they enrolled in the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management and completed a Master's degree in Finance and Financial Management Services from 2005 to 2008. Additionally, during their time at the academy, Oleksandr Ovdiienko also obtained a Master of Financing degree specializing in Finance and Financial Management.

Oleksandr Ovdiienko has also received several certifications to further enhance their expertise. In 2015, they became a Certified Energy Manager through the Association of Energy Engineers. Oleksandr then obtained the title of Energy Management System Expert from UNIDO in April 2017. It is worth noting that there is mention of a Certified Energy Auditor certification, but specific details about its completion are not provided.
