Duncan Hobbs

Duncan Hobbs is a Senior Research Associate at the American Enterprise Institute since July 2017, where research assistance is provided for Dr. Michael R. Prior experience includes serving as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at the Mortara Center for International Studies from February 2014 to May 2017, supporting Nita Rudra, and being chosen as one of three students for a four-year undergraduate research fellowship. Duncan also worked as a Loan Officer at the Hilltop MicroFinance Initiative from September 2013 to May 2017, underwriting loans for low-income entrepreneurs in the greater D.C. area. Additional experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant at Georgetown University for international trade and finance courses and a Summer Analyst Intern at Analysis Group, where contributions were made to the development of expert reports for litigation. Duncan holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service with a focus on International Economics from Georgetown University, completed in 2017.
