Shari Vancuren Wood

Shari VanCuren Wood, ACP, is an accomplished professional in corporate governance with extensive experience in various legal and administrative roles. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at American Equity since January 2016, Shari has held multiple titles, including Chief of Staff and Corporate Secretary. Prior to this role, Shari was a Paralegal at Brown, Winick, Graves, Gross, Baskerville and Schoenebaum, P.L.C. and worked in intellectual property law at Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione and Reed Smith LLP, specializing in mergers and acquisitions. Shari earned a Bachelor of Arts in Law & Politics from Drake University and attended Kirkwood Community College.
