Sharon Wasco

Sharon Wasco is the Founder and Owner of SMW Consulting, LLC, established in January 2011, focusing on guiding evaluative thinking and generating practice-based evidence to combat violence through leadership summits, workshops, evaluation projects, and data visualization. Currently serving as a SCRA Fellow since September 2023, Sharon is recognized for exceptional contributions in community research and action. An active member of the Executive Committee of the American Evaluation Association since March 2000, Sharon also held roles as an Evaluation Design, Methods, & Analysis Expert at Strategic Prevention Solutions until December 2022 and as a volunteer at the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center from 1993 to 2012. Additionally, Sharon has held academic positions as Assistant Professor of Psychology at UMass Lowell from 2004 to 2010 and as an Instructor and Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago from 1997 to 2003, alongside consulting and training roles in various organizations. Sharon earned a PhD in Psychology from the University of Illinois Chicago and a BA in Psychology from Northwestern University.
