Avinash Nair

Avinash Nair is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in software development and team management. Currently serving as Engineering Director at American Express since July 2014, Avinash has successfully led teams in Merchant Marketing and Offers, overseeing feature delivery alongside Product Owners and managing direct reports. Previously, Avinash held roles ranging from Senior Engineering Manager to Senior Software Engineer, contributing to critical projects such as the In-app Payment feature for mobile wallets and the migration to GIT version control. Earlier experience includes a software developer role at Tata Consultancy Services, where Avinash enhanced SOAP Services and conducted various testing phases, as well as a consultant position at Ugam Solutions. Avinash holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Anna University Chennai.
