Mo Zahrani

Mo Zahrani has a strong background in machine learning and big data, serving as Vice President of Machine Learning at American Express from August 2013 to June 2022. During this tenure, Mo led a globally distributed team of machine learning engineers and collaborated with Amex Ventures to assess emerging AI technologies for strategic investment. Prior experience includes the role of Director of Big Data Capabilities and Platform Development at American Express, where Mo designed enterprise-grade big data platforms and holds multiple patents related to hybrid-cloud orchestration and AI compute acceleration. Mo's earlier positions include Big Data Architect at Visual Graphic Systems and software engineering at Hunter College, where Mo also served as an adjunct faculty instructor. Mo earned a PhD in Computer Science from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, and a Master's degree in Computer Science from The City University of New York.
