Phani Kalyan Cherukuri

Phani Kalyan Cherukuri is a seasoned engineering leader with over a decade of experience at American Express, currently serving as Vice President of Engineering, overseeing Next Gen Big Data and Realtime Event Processing Platforms and Cloud Big Data and Analytics. Phani has successfully led engineering teams focused on big data, operational databases, and real-time processing, as well as spearheaded the development of global engineering teams for innovative data solutions. Previously, Phani held the role of Vice President and Principal Engineer, focusing on the architecture and engineering of Enterprise Information Management Platforms, and has extensive experience in strategizing and engineering emerging data platforms. In addition, Phani has served as a Technical Advisor for a stealth startup from June 2021 to December 2023. Phani holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from The University of Alabama in Huntsville.
