Jun W. is an accomplished data science leader with extensive experience in the insurance and research sectors. Currently serving as Director of Data Science at American Family Insurance since December 2020, Jun W. oversees data science teams that drive business initiatives, including pricing and underwriting, within the Preferred Auto Center of Excellence. Previous experience includes a Director role at Liberty Mutual Insurance and Senior Risk Modeler at Risk Management Solutions. Jun W. has also held research positions at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and completed internships at prominent organizations. Academically, Jun W. holds a PhD in Urban and Regional Planning with a focus on Regional Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, an MA in Economics and Geography from Boston University, and an LLM in Law from Wuhan University.
