Todd Walsh

Design Leader at American Fire Protection Group

Todd Walsh has a solid background in fire protection design. Todd started their career in 1998 as a Design Technician at Highland Fire Protection, where they were responsible for designing shop drawings and calculations. Todd used AutoCAD and Hass programs for this role. In 2000, Todd moved to Firetrol Protection Systems as a Design Technician, where they continued designing shop drawings and calculations, but also utilized AutoCAD, HydraCad, HydraList, and HydraCalc programs. In 2002, they joined American Fire Protection Group, Inc. as a Lead Designer/BIM Coordinator, where they currently design shop drawings and calculations in the Dallas, Texas office. Todd'sresponsibilities also include listing and purchasing materials, producing submittal documents, and coordinating with other mechanical trades in 3D models. Todd utilizes AutoSPRINK, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Revit programs for this role.

Todd Walsh attended Lakeview Centennial High School from 1985 to 1989. Following high school, they attended Dallas College from 1990 to 1992, where they studied Business Administration and Management, General. In addition to their formal education, Todd also obtained two additional certifications. In 2009, they achieved NICET Level 1 certification from the National Institute of Certifications of Engineering Technologies. In 2013, they completed Ladder Training from David Evans.
