Brian Michael Cooper has held various roles in the sports, entertainment, and corporate industries over the years. Brian Michael is currently the President and Chief Operating Officer of the American Flag Football League. Prior to this, they were a partner at Frost Brown Todd where they were a member of the sports, entertainment, and venture capital practice teams and responsible for M&A, entity formation, corporate governance, and strategic alliances. Brian Michael also served as the President of the Houston Roughnecks in XFL where they were responsible for business operations. Brian Michael was also a partner in Lewis Brisbois and worked across various industries including M&A, pre-merger review, securities law, corp. formation, real estate, and project finance. Before this, they were the Director of Sports Programming at Dish Network, and a Senior Associate Athletic Director at Rice University. Additionally, Brian worked as an attorney at Haynes and Boone, LLP and Constantine Cannon LLP. Brian Michael has built brands, managed budgets, developed and negotiated contracts, and established successful franchises throughout their professional journey.
Brian Michael Cooper earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government (cum laude) from Cornell University in 1992. From 1993 to 1996, they attended Harvard University’s Kennedy School, where they obtained a Master of Public Policy degree. Brian Michael then went to Columbia Law School, where they earned a Juris Doctor degree in 1997. Cooper obtained bar admissions for New York in September 1997, Texas in April 2003, and Colorado in January 2018.
