Karen Ng

Volunteer, Mental Health Advocate at American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

Karen Ng serves as the Director of Operations at the Hibiscus Foundation and has significant involvement with multiple organizations. As Board Chair of the Hawai'i Chapter for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Karen advocates for mental health support through outreach and fundraising. In the role of National Support Group Facilitator and Lupus Ambassador for the Lupus Foundation of America, Karen leads support groups and participates in awareness events. Additional roles include being an Educator and Independent Consultant with Beautycounter, and a LANtern Advisory Board Member at the Hospital for Special Surgery, where the LANtern program was founded to support Asian-Americans with lupus. Karen has held strategic positions in organizations such as Orphans' Futures Alliance and The Cartwheel Initiative, and has engaged as a mentor with APEX for Youth. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Health from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University.
