Michael Gray

Michael Gray has extensive experience in the retail industry. Michael currently serves as the Chief Stores Officer at American Freight Furniture, Mattress, Appliance starting from September 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the Division Vice President at Dollar General from November 2019 to September 2020.

Before joining Dollar General, they held multiple positions at Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores, Inc. These positions included SVP, Chief Operating Officer from December 2017 to November 2019, Senior Vice President Operations from February 2016 to December 2017, Vice President and General Manager from December 2013 to December 2017, and Vice President & General Manager from August 2011 to December 2013. In these roles, they were responsible for various aspects of retail operations, store support, marketing, merchandising, and supply chain management.

Earlier in their career, Michael Gray worked at Sears Holdings Corporation as the Region Vice President & General Manager from February 2009 to August 2011 and as the Divisional Vice President, Loss Prevention from October 2003 to January 2009. In these positions, they oversaw field operations, store operations, and loss prevention for a large number of department stores.

Michael Gray obtained a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from The University of Akron, where they attended from 1989 to 1994.
