Christopher Verlinden

Christopher Verlinden serves as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Applied Ocean Sciences since January 2019 and concurrently holds the position of President and CEO at Pallas LLC since September 2018. Additionally, Christopher is a Council Member of the American Geographical Society, a Board Member at the Walter Munk Foundation for the Oceans and The Explorers Club Washington Group, and a Judge for the XPRIZE focusing on carbon capture initiatives. Christopher's role as a Reserve Officer in the U.S. Coast Guard and as a Scientific Advisor for both Entanglement Institute, Inc. and Dollar Donation Club highlights a strong commitment to scientific advancement and community support. Christopher also advises the Ocean Currency Network in its efforts to optimize ocean data utilization and promote a blue economy. Educational achievements include a PhD and MS in Oceanography from Scripps Institution of Oceanography, along with a BS in Marine and Environmental Science from the US Coast Guard Academy.
