Andrea D'Amato

Andrea d'Amato currently serves as the Assistant Secretary of Operational Excellence at MassDOT, having held this role since May 2017, where responsibilities include leading operational improvement projects across Highway, the Registry, and the MBTA. Andrea has been a Council Member at the American Geographical Society since November 2016. Previous positions include Vice President Transportation Segment Manager at Kleinfelder and Chief Planner at HNTB, overseeing significant projects such as the Casey Arborway Project. Andrea also served as Project Manager for the Casey Overpass and was involved with WTS and TRB in advisory and leadership roles. From September 1997 to July 2004, Andrea worked for the City of Boston as Cabinet Chief of Environmental Services and Commissioner of Transportation, managing multiple departments and a substantial budget. Educational credentials include two Master's degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Urban & Regional Planning and Economic Geography.
