Katiuska (Katy) Aguilar is a seasoned professional in the field of drilling fluids and research and development, currently serving as a Senior Scientist at American Gilsonite Company since February 2020. Prior to this role, Katiuska was an Independent Consultant specializing as a Drilling Fluids, Completion and Workover Senior Specialist from April 2019 to February 2020. Katiuska's extensive experience includes a significant tenure at Intevep, PDVSA, from October 1991 to March 2018, where responsibilities encompassed leading a drilling fluids group and providing offshore well design expertise in the Gulf of Mexico and Venezuela. Katiuska holds an Associate's degree in University Teaching from Universidad Católica Santa Rosa and an Advance Technician degree in Chemical Analysis.
