Jill began her career with American HealthCare in 2002, working as the Business Office Manager in AHC’s Blacksburg facility. In 2004 she became the Business Office Trainer for AHC, and then worked as a Business Office Consultant until being promoted into her current position, Vice President of Business Office Services, in 2016.
As Vice President of Business Office Services, Jill oversees AHC’s billing and collection processes and ensures compliance with various Medicare and Medicaid regulations. She works closely with both the Resource Center billing staff and facility Business Office staff to successfully manage accounts receivables and other business office functions. Jill’s unique background of working hands-on in facilities, combined with her ability to manage AR from a global standpoint, allows her to effectively work with and implement processes that benefit all members of the Business Office and Billing departments.
Jill received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Virginia Tech. She has served on the Virginia Health Care Association’s Board of Directors and is an active member of the Association’s Payment for Services and Managed Care Committees. Additionally, she is considered to be one of Virginia’s top experts in skilled nursing facility billing and reimbursement, and is routinely called upon by Virginia’s Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) to assist with developing, testing, and troubleshooting various Medicaid reimbursement methodologies.
