Amy Schmitz

Amy Schmitz, BSN, RN, MBA, currently serves as the National Corporate Relations Director at the American Heart Association, a role held since August 2019, where responsibilities include developing strategic business relationships with pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device organizations to enhance cardiovascular health. Prior to this position, Amy was the National Strategic Accounts Director at GSK from October 2011 to December 2018, and also served as a Sales Director, where leadership involved coaching and developing high-performing sales teams. With a career that began as a Sales Representative at GSK from 1999 to 2011, Amy received multiple awards for outstanding performance, including the Team Champion Trip in 2011 and the Passion Award in 2005. Academic credentials include a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount Saint Mary College.
