Candace Jones

Candace Jones, MPH, CMHE, currently serves as the Vice President of Community Impact at the American Heart Association, focusing on establishing community and clinical partnerships in Davidson and Rutherford counties. Prior experience includes serving as Public Health Program Director II at the Tennessee Department of Health, where Candace successfully submitted a grant proposal resulting in over $1.17 million for the CDC National Cardiovascular Health Program. Additionally, work as a Grants Analyst II involved monitoring health program grants across various organizations. Previous roles at TennCare included Program Manager and Compliance Analyst, overseeing compliance audits of managed care organizations, while earlier experience at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee centered on analyzing support plans. Candace holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Fisk University and a Master of Public Health with a focus on Cultural Competency from Tennessee State University.
