Stacy Frelund

Stacy Frelund is an experienced professional in government relations, currently serving as the Regional Team Lead for the American Heart Association, focusing on Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin since January 2011. In this role, Stacy functions as the Iowa Government Relations Director, monitoring legislative and regulatory issues, advocating for policy agendas within the Iowa Legislature, and influencing state department regulations. Prior to joining the American Heart Association, Stacy worked for the American Cancer Society from August 2005 to December 2010, where responsibilities included developing state policy campaign strategies, lobbying, coalition management, and community outreach. Additionally, Stacy coordinated a Legislative Staff Management Institute Conference at the Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs from October 2003 to August 2004. Education includes a Master of Public Policy from the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Speech Communication from Iowa State University.
