Sheetal Khedkar Rao serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine and an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Public Health at the University of Illinois Chicago, focusing on Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences. As Co-Founder and Chief Health and Engagement Officer of the Nordson Green Earth Foundation, Khedkar Rao works to enhance tree and greenspace equity in the Chicagoland area. In addition, Khedkar Rao is actively involved in various initiatives, including the National Academy of Medicine's Climate Communities Network and the American Hospital Association's Climate and Community Health Technical Expert Panel. Previous roles include being an Extreme Heat Fellow with FEMA and a Climate and Health Fellow with Health Care Without Harm. Khedkar Rao's academic credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from Georgetown University School of Medicine and a Master's degree in Physiology from Georgetown University, among other degrees.
