Emily Sparks

Emily Sparks is an accomplished fundraising professional with significant experience in major gifts and development roles. Currently serving as the Director of Major Gifts at American Humane since April 2019, Emily leads the Major Gifts program and cultivates a portfolio of major gift donors. Previous positions include Director of Marketing at Attraction Magazine, Development Officer at Habitat for Humanity Choptank, and Director of Advancement at The Gunston School. Emily's career also includes roles at Shakespeare Theatre Company and The Baltimore Museum of Art, where expertise in donor relations and fundraising strategies was demonstrated. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Information Science with a focus on Public Relations from The University of Alabama.
