Katie McKerall

Katie McKerall is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in environmental law and advocacy. Currently serving as Senior Counsel at the American Humanist Association since July 2021, Katie has held the title of Staff Attorney at the same organization and has previously worked as a Law Clerk for the Commissioner of Accounts and the Department of Justice's Environment and Natural Resources Division. Additional experience includes a Legal Internship at the Southern Environmental Law Center and positions at The Climate Reality Project and Chesapeake Legal Alliance. Katie began career contributions as a Grant Writer for Rappahannock Goodwill Industries. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from George Mason University - Antonin Scalia Law School and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the University of South Alabama.
