Sam Molyneux is a Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Poppy, a startup based in San Francisco and Toronto since September 2019. Molyneux is actively involved in the American Industrial Hygiene Association's IAQ Taskforce and serves as a member of the ASHRAE Standard 241 committee, focusing on the control of infectious aerosols. Additionally, Molyneux has been an advisor for the BayEcotarium since December 2020 and previously worked as an Entrepreneur In Residence at SRI International, exploring innovative technologies. As a mentor at the Creative Destruction Lab, Molyneux supports scalable science-based startups. Prior leadership experience includes serving as GM at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, where Molyneux led a significant technology team. Recognized as a recipient of Canada's Top 40 Under 40 award and featured among Fast Company's 100 Most Creative People in Business, Molyneux has also spoken at the United Nations AI for Good Global Summit. Molyneux holds a PhD in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto and a BSc in Biochemistry from Queen's University.
