Eric Smith

Eric Smith has over 29 years of experience in quality assurance, currently serving as the Quality Assurance Manager at American Industrial Transport (AITX) since September 1994, previously holding the position of QA Supervisor. Smith possesses specialized expertise in various welding techniques including AWS D15.1 and M1002 specifications, and has trained in post weld heat treatment and single car air brake testing. In addition to certification in multiple auditing and testing methods, Smith developed a Microsoft Access database for tracking employee training, calibration, non-conformances, and document control. Prior experience includes service in the US Navy from March 1988 to April 1992 at the E-4 rank. Smith graduated from Silver Bluff High School in 1986 with a diploma in Welding Technology/Welder.
