Keisha Smith

Keisha Smith, Ph.D., is a Program Manager and Scientist at the American Institute of Biological Sciences since June 2023. Previously, Keisha served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Yale University School of Medicine from February 2020 to June 2023 and held the position of Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biology and Environmental Science at the University of New Haven from August 2021 to May 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Clinical Research Coordinator and Doctoral Candidate at Meharry Medical College, Senior Research Assistant at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Microbiologist at Unilever, and Laboratory Technician at Southwest Tennessee Community College. Keisha earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Sciences with an emphasis in Neuroscience from Meharry Medical College and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Memphis.
