Cheme Cube Team Captain at American Institute of Chemical Engineers

Julia Casey is a Climate & Sustainability Scholar at the MIT Climate & Sustainability Consortium, where responsibilities include creating experimental testing plans for long-term projects. Additionally, Julia serves as the ChemE Cube Team Captain and Technical Lead at the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, focusing on designing process flow diagrams and optimizing system components for carbon dioxide sequestration. Other roles include Director of the THINK Committee at MIT TechX, where Julia oversees logistics and mentorship initiatives, managing the onboarding of new members. Julia has also mentored in MIT Project Manus, operated testing setups at Ebb Carbon as a chemistry intern, and conducted notable research as an undergraduate student researcher at MIT. Academic involvement includes a range of environmental assessments, volunteer work with Indiana Riverwatch, and internship experience in historical research. Julia holds an Associate's degree from Ivy Tech Community College and is currently pursuing a degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
