Cristina Alvarez

Cristina Alvarez has worked as a Research Assistant at the American Institutes for Research since January 2020. Prior to that, they had a role as a Policy and Research Intern at the Learning Policy Institute from September 2019 to January 2020. From August 2016 to August 2019, they worked as a College and Financial Aid Advisor/Office Coordinator at Advance! On to College. In April 2019 to June 2019, Cristina was a Legislative Intern for Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia at the California State Assembly. Cristina also served as a Teacher Assistant at the University of California, Irvine School of Law from January 2019 to March 2019, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at UC Irvine from January 2018 to March 2019.

Cristina Alvarez attended UC Irvine from 2016 to 2019, where they pursued a degree in Education Sciences with a focus on Educational Evaluation and Research. Prior to that, they attended Fullerton College from 2013 to 2016, although no degree or field of study is specified for that period.

In addition to their formal education, Cristina has obtained several certifications. In January 2021, they completed the "Coursera Introduction to Probability and Data with R" course offered by Duke University. In February 2020, they obtained the "Introduction to Stata 15" certification from LinkedIn and also completed the "Learning Data Analytics" course from the same platform.
