Kandace Jones

Kandace Jones is a seasoned business advisor and investor with a focus on social impact initiatives throughout the African Diaspora as the Co-Founder and General Partner of Anansi Ventures since December 2015. In addition, Kandace serves as Project Director at WestEd, co-directing a significant $32.5 million contract aimed at enhancing education outcomes in the western United States through equity-centered capacity building. With a rich background in educational consultancy, Kandace previously led the Region 8 Comprehensive Center at ICF and managed out-of-school programs for the District of Columbia Public Schools. Leadership roles include serving as President and CEO of Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan and Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Education. An MBA and BS from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University complement extensive work in promoting youth development and leadership through various organizations.
