Kathryn B. has a diverse range of work experience. Kathryn began their career in 2008 as a Summer Resident Camp Program Director at Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania, where they worked until 2010. Following this, they worked as a Civilian Volunteer for Science - Field Technician at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) from 2011 to 2012. In 2012, Kathryn worked as an Outside Lawn & Garden Specialist at Lowe's Companies, Inc. Kathryn then joined Grier School in 2011 as a Counselor & Substitute Teacher until August 2012. Starting in 2013, Kathryn worked as a Research Intern at the Matthew B. Ridgway Center for International Security Studies until 2014. Finally, they joined the American Institutes for Research in 2015 and has held the positions of Research Associate and Researcher since then.

Kathryn B. pursued their education at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA) from 2012 to 2014. During this time, they completed their Master of Public and International Affairs degree with a specialization in Security and Intelligence Studies. Prior to that, they attended Juniata College from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained their Bachelor's Degrees in Russian and International Relations.
