Senior Researcher at American Institutes for Research

Lauren A. has a diverse work experience in the education and research fields. Lauren started their career as a Teacher at Feingold Institute in 2002 and then worked as a Teacher at Irony Yud Dalet Junior High and High School from 2005 to 2006. Lauren also interned as an EFL Teacher at the Teach and Study Program at Tel-Aviv University from 2003 to 2005. Lauren then joined Fairfax County Public Schools as a Teacher from 2006 to 2008. In 2008, they became a Research Associate at the Center for Applied Linguistics and worked until 2013. Starting from 2010, Lauren pursued their doctoral studies at the University of Maryland as a Doctoral Student until 2018. Lauren then joined the American Institutes for Research as a Researcher in 2014 and later became a Senior Researcher, where they currently work.

Lauren A. obtained a Masters degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Tel Aviv University during the period from 2002 to 2006. Later, they pursued further education at the University of Maryland, where they received a Ph.D in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus on Second Language Education and Culture, spanning from 2010 to 2018.
