Mary Ann Fox has extensive work experience in the field of education and research. Mary Ann started their career in 2002 as a Mathematics Teacher at District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS), where they worked for two years. In 2004, they joined the American Institutes for Research as a Managing Researcher and held this position for over 13 years. In 2017, Mary Ann was promoted to Vice President, Human Services-Education Statistics at the same company. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated their expertise in education and research, making significant contributions to the organizations they have worked for.

Mary Ann Fox completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Statistics at Miami University from 1991 to 1995. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Applied Statistics at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor from 1996 to 1998. Later, they attended The George Washington University from 2000 to 2002, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Secondary Mathematics Education.
