Nicholas Sorensen

Nicholas Sorensen's work experience starts with their role as the Founder and Executive Director at Summitlab Corporation since September 2019, where they are currently employed. In November 2020, they also became the Managing Member/CEO of Summitlab Consulting Group LLC. Prior to that, Nicholas worked at the American Institutes for Research starting in May 2010. At AIR, they held multiple roles, including Principal Researcher, Director of Technology for Teaching and Learning Practice Area, Senior Researcher, and Researcher. Nicholas joined the University of Michigan as a Research Associate in August 2005, and their tenure there lasted until May 2010.

Nicholas Sorensen has a strong educational background in the field of psychology and social work. Nicholas began their academic journey in 2000 at the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, where they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology in 2004. Following this, Nicholas pursued further studies and received a Master of Science (MS) degree in Social Psychology from the University of Michigan - Rackham Graduate School between 2004 and 2006. Evidently committed to their field, Nicholas went on to earn a PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Michigan in 2010. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Michigan - Rackham Graduate School from 2008 to 2010, further enriching their understanding of social work.
