Rania M. Masri, MFA has a diverse work experience in data visualization and design. In 2021, they joined the American Institutes for Research as a Data Visualization + UI Designer. Prior to that, in 2018, they co-founded kufic+grid and served as a Data Visualization Designer. From 2017 to 2018, Rania worked as a Data Visualization Developer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Rania M. also gained experience as a Data Visualization Designer at UnitedHealth Group from 2015 to 2017. Rania has a background in graphic design and web development, having worked as a Graphic Designer and Webmaster at the Council on American-Islamic Relations Michigan Chapter from 2006 to 2016. Additionally, they have served in roles such as a Thesis Studio Assistant at Northeastern University in 2015, a Marketing and Branding Consultant at the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center in 2015, and a Director of Marketing and Technology at Masri Clinic for Laser and Cosmetic Surgery from 2002 to 2015. Rania's skills also extend to information design, as they worked as an Information Designer at the Whitestone Foundation from 2013 to 2014.

Rania M. Masri, MFA completed their Master's Degree in Information Design and Visualization at Northeastern University from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, with a major in Computer Science, Economics, and Communication. In addition to their formal education, Rania holds a certification as an A+ Certified Professional, IT Technician from CompTIA, which they obtained in March 2009.
