Whitney Cade

Whitney Cade has a strong background in education and research. Whitney started their career as a Statistics Tutor in the Math Department at Rhodes College from January 2007 to December 2007. Whitney then worked as a Research Assistant at Rhodes College from May 2006 to May 2009, where they contributed to a research project funded by the Office of Naval Research. During this time, they created a coding scheme for quantifying the dialogic behavior of expert tutors, which later served as the foundation for the educational software Guru.

In 2009, Whitney joined The University of Memphis, Institute for Intelligent Systems, as a Graduate Research Assistant while pursuing their Ph.D. Whitney worked alongside an interdisciplinary team and focused on developing educational technology using artificial intelligence and innovative educational experiences. Whitney'sresponsibilities included designing and executing experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of conversational agents, visual media, and educational activities. Whitney also contributed to the creation of educational software that improved learning outcomes by a letter grade over traditional classroom lessons. Whitney's work at the Institute lasted from August 2009 to September 2015.

Most recently, Whitney joined the American Institutes for Research in October 2015 as a Researcher, though no end date is provided for this role.

Whitney Cade has a strong educational background in the field of psychology. Whitney started their academic journey in 2005 at Rhodes College, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with Honors in Psychology in 2009. Afterward, they pursued further education at The University of Memphis, beginning in 2009 and graduating in 2013 with a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Psychology.

Continuing their studies in the same university, Whitney obtained a Certification in Cognitive Science in 2015. Whitney also completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Experimental Psychology (Cognitive) at The University of Memphis in the same year.

In addition to their degrees, Whitney Cade has obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera in July 2013, further expanding their expertise in the field.
