Edac Jennifer Malia Iida, Ap, Ncidq

Jennifer Malia is an experienced professional with a diverse background in interior design and market development. Jennifer'swork experience includes positions at various organizations, starting with Nudell Architects, Inc. as the Director of Interior Design, where they focused on auto dealership interior design and brand development. Jennifer then moved on to Cityscape Architects, Inc. as the Director of Interior Design, where they specialized in auto dealership and retail interior design. Jennifer later worked as a Project Manager at CBRE, supporting Fifth Third Bank in managing a multi-year restack project and facility management. Jennifer also served as the Senior Interior Designer at T2 Designs, Inc. and held leadership roles at the Coalition for Interior Design Registration (CIDR) and IIDA. Jennifer is currently the President of the IIDA Michigan Chapter and has previously served as the Michigan Chapter Past-President. In addition to their professional roles, Jennifer has been involved in academia as an Adjunct Professor at Lawrence Technological University, teaching interior design courses. Throughout their career, Jennifer has been passionate about giving back to the interior design profession and enjoys networking and educating others on the role of interior designers in collaborative teams.

Jennifer Malia earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Interior Architecture from Lawrence Technological University, completing their degree between 1992 and 1996. Jennifer furthered their professional development by acquiring several certifications. In 2002, they obtained the NCIDQ Certification from the Council for Interior Design Qualification, followed by the LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) designation from USGBC Detroit Region in 2004. In 2008, they obtained the Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification (EDAC) from The Center for Health Design.
