Joseph Barder

Joseph Barder has extensive experience in the field of Information Technology, with their most recent role being Director of Information Technology at the American International School of Lagos since August 2021. Prior to this, they served as the IT Director at Nanjing International School from August 2016 to March 2022. Before that, they held the position of ICT Coordinator/Head of Technology at the International School of Helsinki from July 2013 to July 2016. Joseph also worked as the ICT Coordinator/Head of Technology Dept. at the International School of Tanganyika from July 2008 to July 2012, and as an MS IT Teacher/IT Integrationist at The American School of Kuwait from July 2004 to June 2008.

Joseph Barder obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Instructional Technology and Media from Teachers College, Columbia University, which they completed from 2012 to 2013. Prior to this, they pursued a Teacher Certification in Social Studies/Humanities from Marquette University, from 2005 to 2006. Joseph received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Russian Language & Culture from the University of Michigan, graduating in 2002.
