Safirah Ibenana

Safirah Ibenana is currently working as Secondary English/Humanities at the American International School of Lagos since August 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Secondary English and Humanities at the American Academy for Girls from August 2021 to July 2022. Their previous roles include Curriculum Coordinator at Emirates National Schools, Instructional Coach and English teacher at the Institute of Applied Technology, and Adjunct Professor at Lone Star College. Safirah also held positions as Academic Affairs Director at North American University and Adjunct Professor at Houston Community College. With a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English/Spanish from the University of Maryland and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Technology Leadership from Lamar University, Safirah has a strong background in ESL, English, and Spanish education.
