Joanna Strother

JoAnna Strother is the Senior Director of Advocacy for the American Lung Association, overseeing advocacy initiatives across an eight-state region, including Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Texas, Oklahoma, Utah, and Wyoming, since August 2007. In this role, JoAnna provides leadership and strategic direction to influence legislation and public policy while previously serving as the Director of Programs, managing lung health and tobacco programs in New Mexico. Prior to joining the American Lung Association, JoAnna worked in the accounting office at Sandia BMW from September 2003 to August 2007. JoAnna holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education with a focus on Community Health from The University of New Mexico, supported by education from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
