Paolo Motta is an experienced design engineer currently serving as a Design Engineer for American Magic in the 37th America's Cup since November 2021, and as the Owner and co-founder of ToolsPole since February 2020, specializing in boat performance prediction, appendages design, and shapes optimization. Previous roles include Performance Prediction Engineer for New York Yacht Club American Magic, Boat Performance Analyst & Simulator Developer at Enata Industries, and Sails Performance Engineer at Hydros, all focused on various aspects of performance analysis and VPP software development.
