Daniel Cummings

Daniel Cummings is a seasoned maritime professional with experience as a 3rd Assistant Engineer at American Maritime Officers since August 2021, where responsibilities include sailing on unlimited horsepower vessels in international waters. Previously, Daniel served as a Component Engineer at General Dynamics Electric Boat from August 2020 to August 2021, focusing on the overhaul and repair of Los Angeles class submarines and involvement in the new construction of Virginia class submarine systems. An early career as a Cadet at Seabulk in 2018 involved hands-on experience aboard the M/T Independence, contributing to maintenance and repair tasks alongside senior engineers. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of New York Maritime College, coupled with an Unlimited Horse Power USCG License.
