First elected to the American Medical Association Board of Trustees in June 2018, Scott Ferguson, MD, has a long history of representing physicians and patients at every level: in his hometown, in his state of Arkansas, and nationally.
Since joining the AMA Board of Trustees, Dr. Ferguson, who is a fellow of the American College of Radiology, has served as AMA trustee liaison to the AMA Council on Medical Education, the AMA Council on Science and Public Health, and the governing councils of the AMA Minority Affairs Section, the AMA International Medical Graduates Section, and the AMA Women Physicians Section. A former chair of the AMA Council on Legislation, currently he serves as the Board liaison to the AMA Council on Medical Service, the AMA Medical Student Section, and the AMA Senior Physician Section.
