Takeesha White

Takeesha White is an experienced professional in health equity and community wellness, currently serving as the Director of Health Equity Strategic Partnerships and Communications at the American Medical Association since August 2021. Prior to this role, Takeesha worked at the Council of State Governments Justice Center as the Deputy Division Director of Operations for Behavioral Health from January 2020 to December 2021. Previous positions include Acting Assistant Commissioner for Health Equity Capacity Building and various leadership roles at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the Partnership for a Healthier New York City. Takeesha's academic background includes a B.A. in Sociology Economics from Columbia University and an M.S.W. in Social Economic Development from Washington University in St. Louis.
