Gerad Troutman

National Medical Director - Innovative Practices at Global Medical Response

Gerad Troutman, MD, MBA, FACEP, FAEMS has a diverse and extensive work experience. Gerad is currently serving as the National Medical Director - Innovative Practices at Global Medical Response since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center as an Emergency Physician and Assistant Clinical Professor starting from July 2011. Gerad also held the position of EMS Medical Director at the City of Amarillo and UMC EMS / Lubbock Fire Rescue from April 2014 and July 2012 respectively. From 2017 to 2019, they served as the President of the Texas College of Emergency Physicians. Gerad Troutman was the Co-Founder and Chairman of ER Now, Amarillo from January 2015 to February 2019. Gerad was also an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine from April 2015 to April 2018. Earlier in their career, they served as an Emergency Medicine Physician at University Medical Center from July 2011 to June 2015 and as the Chief Resident in Emergency Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center from July 2007 to June 2011.

Gerad Troutman, MD, MBA, FACEP, FAEMS obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry from Midwestern State University in 2002. Gerad then pursued a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center - School of Medicine, graduating in 2007. In 2017, they completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from West Texas A&M University College of Business.
