Beverly Smith

Interim Executive Director & CEO at American Mental Health Counselors Association

Dr. Smith has professional counseling experience in various settings to include private practice, public education, corrections, community counseling and in higher education as an adjunct professor of Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has been the owner and principal therapist of BSmith Consulting Group, LLC since 2009. In addition to being an adjunct professor at Mercer University, Dr. Smith is serving on AMHCA’s Committee of Advancement for Clinical Practice. In 2016, she was AMHCA’s delegate at the 32nd Annual Rosalynn Carter Symposium on Mental Health Policy. The symposium included leaders from across the country focusing on the three main topics: (1) Managing Population Health & Building Cultures of Wellness, (2) The Current State of Integration Efforts and, (3) Behavioral Health’s Role in Population Health. Her review of the symposium was published in the Connections, AMHCA’s Blog.
