Mike Friedman

Mike Friedman has extensive experience in publishing technology and operations within the meteorological field, currently serving as the Associate Director of Publishing Technology at the American Meteorological Society since 2001. Previous roles at the Society include Senior Manager for Publishing Operations, Acting Co-Director of Publications, Journals Production Manager, Senior Technical Editor, and Technical Editor. Prior to joining the Society, Mike Friedman was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Oregon State University from 1998 to 2001 and worked as a Systems Engineer at Lockheed between 1989 and 1993. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an M.S. in Planetary Science from UCLA, and a B.A. in Physics from Rice University.
