Jolene Thompson

Jolene Thompson is the President & CEO at American Municipal Power, Inc., representing the company on The Energy Authority (TEA) Board of Directors and on the Large Public Power Council (LPPC). Jolene also served as the Executive Vice President of Member Services and External Affairs, handling government relations and environmental regulatory affairs. Additionally, Jolene was the Chair of the Legislative Committee and a member of the Executive Committee at Transmission Access Policy Study Group (TAPS). Thompson was elected to represent Region 2 on the American Public Power Association (APPA) Board of Directors and served as Board Chair from June 2020 to June 2021. Jolene holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Journalism from Otterbein University.
